Fault codes
What the charger is telling you, and what to check before you touch anything.

GroundFailureColombo Fort Hub
Residual current detected on start-up self-test
GroundFailureEarth fault detected - the charger stopped itself.
Check first: Never reset to clear this. Isolate, then insulation-test the cable and check earth bonding.
OverCurrentFailureCurrent exceeded the limit for the connector.
Check first: Check for a damaged cable or a vehicle drawing beyond its rating. Inspect before re-energising.
OverVoltage / UnderVoltageSupply outside tolerance.
Check first: Measure at the isolator. Usually a grid or transformer issue, not the charger.
ConnectorLockFailureThe latch did not engage or release.
Check first: Inspect the latch actuator and pins. Do not force a stuck cable - the car socket is not ours to break.
HighTemperatureCharger derated or stopped on heat.
Check first: Check fans, filters and ambient. Mount Lavinia and BIA run hot in the afternoon.
EVCommunicationErrorCharger and vehicle failed to negotiate.
Check first: Often the vehicle, not us. Try a second car before condemning the charger.
PowerMeterFailureMeter not reporting.
Check first: Take the connector out of service. We cannot bill what we cannot measure.
Heartbeat timeoutCharger is not talking to the CPMS.
Check first: Usually connectivity, not the charger. Check LTE/SIM before assuming hardware.
Never clear a fault you have not understood
A remote reset makes a GroundFailure disappear from the dashboard. It does not make the earth fault go away - it just re-energises a charger that stopped itself for a reason, and hands the next customer a live problem. If you cannot say what caused it, it is not fixed.
